What: Currently, Mambu automatically closes the deposit account when an overdraft amount is written-off. It should be possible to keep a customer’s account opened (with zero balance) for ongoing transactions after an overdraft to the respective account was written off.
Why: Legally, the customer can still request to keep their current account open even if their overdraft was written-off. For example, if that current account is used for salary payments or other standing orders, it might take a while to change all payments to be done into a different account. For the tenant, it makes the process of Dunning & Collection much easier if they can ask the customer to repay his debts onto his former bank account.
